Join us for exciting new Sunday School Classes beginning on January 8th. These are the classes that will be offered for the Winter 2012 session (January through March):
The Gospel According to Revelation: Themes from John’s Last Epistle — Pastor Zane and Beth Hart
Today the book of Revelation intimidates many Christians because confusion and conflict often surround it, but this epistle’s main message is one of gospel encouragement. Revelation speaks to life’s difficulties in ways that still apply to our lives today. In this class, we will examine themes from Revelation such as encouragement during trials, majestic worship, future hope, and Christ’s mighty reign. We will also build tools for interpreting and understanding the book as a whole.
What Does This Mean, Anyway? — Elder Pat Weston and Tim Butler
As we read the Bible, are we reading what we want to read or are we reading what God’s Word really says? This quarter, we will confront that question as we explore a variety of favorite and challenging Bible passages.
Acts: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly — Jared Sizemore
We will explore what the church today can learn from the book of Acts, taking a look at the young church in Acts and exploring its triumphs, sins and setbacks. By the grace of God, the early church overcame tremendous obstacles, both from inside and outside the church, to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. We will explore together practical ways to continue the ministry of Jesus today in our church and culture.
